sml-headers-a

Why is dust a problem?

Dust poses a huge threat to people, the environment and the machinery on mines. That is why dust suppression is an important aspect of any mining business. When disturbed, dust creates poor visibility, loss of production due to machinery downtime and irreversible respiratory disease. Dust suppression takes care of these risks to enterprises.

When considering the risks to manpower and machinery it is imperative that a dust control management system should be in place on mines and other locations where dust is a problem.

The African climate is dry and the control of dust particles is therefore of paramount importance. DAS dust suppressant solutions can eliminate potentially hazardous situations involving dust.

sml-headers2

What is a dust suppressant and why would a company require a dust suppression system?

A dust suppressant is the simplest and most effective of the many Dust Control Management Systems offered by DAS.

The term ‘dust suppressant’ refers to those products and services which monitor, maintain and eliminate unwanted free particles in the air. Applied with DAS Dust Binding products, and multiple scalable dust suppression systems, the DAS team takes the industrial responsibility for dust suppression.
